Beusse Wolter Sanks & Maire, PLLC, is currently accepting inquiries from the following types of candidates:

Intellectual Property Assistant/Paralegal (full time preferred, part-time will be considered): Seeking an individual with law firm experience to assist two attorneys primarily with patent preparation and prosecution (domestic and international). Candidate will support some trademark preparation and prosecution and transactional work; and shall handle docketing, billing matters, attorney calendars, etc. Must have experience in patent office processes and filing procedures, shall maintain a diverse docket for attorneys, and shall assist in attorney billing and client communications, keeping attorneys up to date on pending due dates, etc. A high level of attention to detail and ability to proof read are also required. Transcription skills are desirable. Prior experience in patent prosecution is required as the individual is expected to hit the ground running. Candidate will work primarily or entirely in our Orlando office. There may be an option of also working from the firm’s Melbourne office.

Patent Attorney/Agent: At least 3 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience handling and preparing new patent applications and responding to patent office actions. The preferred technology fields in order of priority are as follows: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Materials, Mechanical, Chemical, etc.

Intellectual Property Litigator: An Attorney having at least 10-plus years experience litigating civil cases in federal court, preferably intellectual property litigation.  Possessing a book of business is also desired.  Though not a guarantee, a partnership opportunity may be a possibility.

IP Practice Groups/Boutiques: If looking to join a growing and dynamic law firm, BWSM is also interested in talking to other groups of IP lawyers. Our interest is not geographically limited to where we currently have offices.
